Castlegate will be home to Sheffield’s newest public space, built on the site of Sheffield’s one-time castle.  An archaeological dig is complete and it is hoped that key elements of the castle’s remains, including the Norman gatehouse, will be preserved and accessible to the public as part of the new park.
